Baptism
What requirements do we have?
At least one parent, or sponsoring grandparent with parental permission, of the infant or child to be baptized and the youth or adult seeking baptism must attend the "Guide to Baptism" classes. These classes do not have to be repeated for later baptisms in the same family.
The "Guide to Baptism" class is designed to learn more more thoroughly the nature and meaning of baptism. -
- Why we baptize;
- What God does in baptism;
- What the church does in baptism.
How do we prepare persons for baptisms?
The "Guide to Baptism" class consists of a video presentation and discussion based upon Remember Who You Are by William Willimon. The class instructs in the words and actions of the actual sacrament of baptism.
When do we celebrate baptisms?
We celebrate baptisms on the last Sunday of the month at both worship services, 9 and 10:30 a.m. The number of baptisms at each service are limited to five and will be scheduled on a first call basis.
