Fall Festival 2018

November 1, 2018

Thank you to everyone who came to Galilee’s Fall Festival on October 28, especially those who invited and brought friends. It was a well-attended event and we were happy to see so many new faces there—folks from the surrounding neighborhoods and families from Galilee Christian School.

The Youth Group is happy to report that their bake sale raised over $350 for their Christmas mission project. They’ll be caroling at a Maryland church that helps the homeless and the money will go toward buying and packing personal hygiene kits for men and women who live on the streets in Frederick.

But the Fall Festival wasn’t so much about fund-raising. Instead, Pastor Jason calls it a “friend-raising” event. If you were there, you know how fun it was to see the kids scatter when Jacob Cox fired the famous Galilee candy cannon into the air. A big thank you goes out to everyone who volunteered.
