Welcome to the Galilee Prayer Chapel
All of us long to connect with someone who can identify with our circumstances and share in our day-to-day life. Prayer is just that - a personal experience and intimate connection with our loving Heavenly Father. When these personal experiences are shared with the community of believers, we all can pray together and share the depth of connection that comes from seeking God together.
The Galilee Prayer Chapel is a place dedicated to the principle of shared, community prayer. It is here that you can share your prayer concerns with others and ask for the prayer support needed for yourself or someone else.
There are three ways provided here for sharing your prayer concerns on this site:
- Personal Prayer Request - Privately submit your prayer request to the Galilee Prayer Support Team without posting it to the website.
- Community Prayer Exchange - Post your prayer concerns here for others to view, with options to allow personal replies of support to your email. Your prayer request is also sent immediately to the Galilee Prayer Support Team who will pray for your request.
- Light a Candle - Remember a person...prayer for a person...a special thought or dedication...or whatever you feel led to say and light a virtual candle for all to share.
Need to talk to someone right now? The Upper Room Living Prayer Center is a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week intercessory prayer ministry staffed by Christian volunteers.
Other ways to request prayer at Galilee:
- Contact the Church office at 703-430-2203 and add your prayer request to our printed prayer list, given to each congregation member each week. Prayers called in will also be given to the Covenant Prayer Team, which meets on Monday nights to pray for the church
- In worship at Galilee, prayer requests are taken up during the singing of the first hymn, then read aloud during community prayer time.
- Drop prayer requests in the box outside the office, and the Covenant Prayer Team will pray over them.
