At Galilee, we want to equip and encourage youth to become the extraordinary people God created them to be. Galilee Youth Ministry offers a place where students in grades 6-12 come together to learn about God and His love for them.

Parents – please complete this downloadable form for the 2018-19 school year. Your student must have a signed form to participate in events. One form per student, return to Pam Bentley in the church office. Thanks for your help!

We love snacks at Youth Group and your donations are greatly appreciated.  Anything from homemade brownies to chips & dips to pre-packaged chips, cookies and granola bars are great for us on Sunday nights. Fancy or not fancy – it’s all good to us!

 

Casting Call for Christmas Play

This year, our annual Christmas play will be open to preschool through middle school-aged students. *High schoolers interested in participating in the play or assisting in some way, contact Pam for more information. The performance will be Sunday, December 9th, during the Grow Hour at 10:15 in the sanctuary. There is a spot for everyone – from singing, speaking, decorating, and more! 

 

Corn Maze & Cookout

Galilee Youth are headed to the Corn Maze at Temple Hall Farm, followed by a cookout at the Cox’s house. We will meet in the Youth Center at 2pm and carpool to Temple Hall. Chaperones and drivers are needed for this event. Please sign-up here if you are able to join us. Pick-up from the Cox’s house at 7pm.  

Cost for this event is $10 per person, due to Pam on or before October 7.  Friends are welcome too!

Youth Wind Ensemble

The ensemble will be performing in worship later this fall.  Performance dates are Sunday, November 18 and Sunday, December 16, with rehearsals at 9 amfor the 2 weeks prior to each performance.  More info to come, but save the dates!  Traditionally open to band students with at least one year of experience.  If you play a band or orchestral instrument and are interested in joining, please reach out to Pam. *If you enjoy singing and are interested in participating in Youth Choir, contact Pam as well. 

 


 


Year-Round Engagement

Youth GROW – Sunday mornings @ 10:15 in the Youth Center
We start with a large group Bible lesson, then break into age-appropriate smaller groups for topic discussion.

Youth Group – Sunday nights 7 – 8:30 pm in the Youth Center 
Snacks, games, team-building activities and God-centered conversation to help teens navigate the unique challenges they face.

Youth Retreats @ Skycroft Conference Center
reBOOT Winter Retreat – MLK Weekend in January
reCHARGE Summer Camp – June

Confirmation
We prepare youth (6th grade and above) who are ready for a deeper commitment to the faith with Confirmation. Confirmation classes are held on Sundays in the spring. Please indicate your interest in our 2019 Confirmation classes and find more information by clicking here.

Events and Local Service
Through the Galilee Family Ministry and Serve Ministry, we offer many opportunities for youth to develop a deeper connection with our congregation and to serve the local community.
