Eighteen year old Henry Newman has been coming to Galilee with his parents, Thomas and Susie, and his siblings Charlie and William, since 2005. Occasionally Henry sings for Galilee, as he did last Sunday—when he received a standing ovation.
On Thanksgiving Day this week, when probably everyone in the world has had their fill of bad and depressing news reports, it pays to watch and listen to the song Henry sang, “10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord),” and to remember the grace of God that is offered to us all. There are so many reasons for us to be grateful.

Henry Newman sings “10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord)”
The song was written by Matt Redman and Jonas Myrin and is based on Psalm 103. This psalm exalts the myriad reasons to worship and praise God:
“Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneththee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”
