Galilee held its second annual Sock Hop Dance in the Gym on Saturday, September 28. The price of admission was a pack of new socks or underwear, as these are the most requested items at shelters for endangered adults and youth. In all, we collected ten huge containers of socks at the sock hop. These will go to Mobile Hope of Leesburg and LAWS Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services.
At the hop, we danced to music by DJ 4GivN, were led in line-dancing by Bernie and Lydia Vitale, and enjoyed pizza and great fellowship.
Our thanks go out to Tom and Julie Dula and their great team of volunteers who helped make the Sock Hop a terrific night for a great cause.
Friends came from near and far.

The Sock Hop might be over, but if you bring socks or underwear to our church, we’ll make sure they get to area shelters through our partners at LAWS and Mobile Hope.
