As the season of Lent comes to a close, we are thrilled to share some uplifting news: Galilee’s $30,000 Lenten Challenge has not only met its goal—it has exceeded it!

Over the course of forty days, our church family was challenged to eschew small luxuries like Starbucks coffee, streaming services, or whatever each individual felt they could or should give up. We asked our members to commit the money they saved to a special offering which the church could put toward necessary maintenance. We are please to announce that our Lent Challenge raised aising $38,832 for  our church facilities.

This is a moment worth celebrating! While we were hoping to receive additional grant funding from the district to support these efforts, that won’t happen. We are nonetheless deeply grateful for what has been accomplished. Your giving spirit has helped in a way that reflects the heart of this community: faithful, generous, and resilient.

Thank you to everyone who gave, prayed, and encouraged others to be part of the challenge. Whether you contributed a little or a lot, every dollar was a statement of faith and commitment to Galilee’s mission and future.

Easter reminds us of new life and renewed hope. As we carry that spirit forward into the works of love and compassion before us, may we continue to be a church that rises to meet challenges, walks boldly in faith, and follows our risen Lord with joy and purpose.
