“The purpose of the Altar Guild is to provide the best possible environment for our congregation’s worship, in coordination with the Pastor.   

 

This includes preparing the sanctuary for regular Sunday services, baptisms, funerals, Advent, Christmastide, the Easter season, and Pentecost. 

 

We make sure the banners, altar cloths and Bible markers are appropriate for each season. We care for the plants in the sanctuary and order the flowers purchased for regular services and Christmas and Easter. 

 

We set up and clean up for Communion services, and provide the communion elements.

 

We are blessed with the care of those items that have been set apart and consecrated to sacred uses.”
