Using Galilee’s new assisted listening system is easy! You can use your own smartphone with earbuds or existing hearing aids to pump up the volume during Galilee’s live worship services.
To use your own phone:
Step 1 – Download and install the ListenWIFI app
The ListenWIFI app is available for free for both Android and iPhone phones. Simply go to the appropriate store on your phone, search for the ListenWIFI app, download it and install it.
Step 2 – Connect to the Galilee public network
While inside Galilee church, connect to the “Galilee” wifi network. You’ll find signs with the network password in our lobby or the office. Once connected, your phone will remember the connection and automatically reconnect each time you enter the church.
Step 3 – Open the ListenWIFI app and listen to the audio feed
While inside the church and connected to the Galilee wifi network, open the ListenWIFI app on your phone. The app will scan for our venue and automatically connect to our audio feed. You should see a Galilee logo appear within the app. Click on that logo and you will be able to listen to the service through your phone using your own hearing aids, if they are already set up with your phone, or headphones or earbuds.
Note: Using some bluetooth earbuds/headphones can introduce a slight delay (fractions of a second) in the sound, while wired headphones do not.
Don’t have a phone?
There are a few devices (old phones) that can be made available from the AV Booth, so just ask. They should be returned after the service.
