Backpacks have special meaning at Galilee.

Last Sunday, August 25, was a special “Blessing of the Backpacks” Sunday. We prayed for our educators and students and for peace, safety, and wisdom to reside in our schools.

After worship, we stuffed backpacks with school supplies to distribute as tangible blessings for the immigrant children who live in our community.

This Sunday we’re at it again with backpacks, raising money for our award-winning Backpack Buddies weekend food program. We want to raise money to fully fund our budget, which will allow us to feed 546 students in Loudoun County schools by putting food in their…backpacks.
