Did you hear the deep and satisfying toll of low octave bells recently in worship? Galilee’s bell choir, The Wesley Ringers, have had the pleasure of borrowing a total of five big bells and one deep chime from two churches to expand the sonic range of their performances.
We want to thank Laura Shelton from Floris UMC and Dave Tiller from United Christian Parish for letting us borrow these larger bells for the past two weeks.
We like big bells, we cannot lie. Some other churches will supply.
“Church members asked how we were able to get these larger, expensive bells,” says the director of the Wesley Chimers, Brietta Miller. “The answer is by borrowing them. The Wesley Ringers would love to be able to get our own set of lower octave bells, but they are very pricey.”
Our bell choir is talented and passionate in their love for sharing music during worship. These big bells were a treat for them to play and for us to hear.
