Galilee was filled with Christmas toys this Sunday, as hundreds of gifts were snuck into our church in the dead of night by anonymous donors who want needy children at local schools to know the magic that comes with a Christmas present.This is the first Christmas season that Pastors Mike Plasters and Steven Carr have served at Galilee, and both were amazed by the outpouring of generosity.

Looking at the collection of toys and gifts, Pastor Mike said “Galilee is home to some truly generous folks.”

Volunteers helped distribute the toys on Monday and Tuesday, working with parent liaisons at two elementary schools to identify families who can use a helping hand. We welcomed 46 families from Countryside Elementary to our church on Monday night, sharing cookies and cocoa while parents selected two gifts per child, and spread joy to an additional 200 children at Meadowlands Elementary on Tuesday afternoon.
