Costa Rica Mission Team |

Still Building

In April, with great sadness, Galilee canceled the 2020 Costa Rica Mission Trip. We rescheduled it for next year because Costa Rica closed its borders to international travelers indefinitely and our own government was stressing safety during the coronavirus pandemic.

We had a deposit down for each of our missioners, but that money was refunded by the airline. On Wednesday, April 8, we were able to send our mission partners in Costa Rica a donation of $5000 on behalf of our committed mission team and the congregation of Galilee.

As these pictures show, the money we sent to Costa Rica was used by the church there to pay for electric wiring, breaker box replacement, drywall replacement and permits. We have been able to help the church build, even if we couldn’t be there.

Pastor Eddier and the good folks of the Palabra Viva Methodist Church were also able to purchase food to help out families in their congregation. They, like us, have been hit by the global pandemic.

Thank you for your generosity which would have helped send the mission team to Carrillos, and still helped build the church and community of Iglesia Metodista Palabra Viva in Costa Rica.

By doing that, you are helping to build the church everywhere.
