Do you feel like dancing? Not everybody answers “yes” to that question. Some people don’t like to dance and others feel “now isn’t the right time.” But maybe now is exactly the right time to dance…or to go out on a limb in some other way.
Is it stormy in your life? In the old movie “Singing in the Rain,” actor Gene Kelly stomped and splashed and sang, “The sun’s in my heart and I’m ready for love,” as he danced in a downpour of heavy rain. We’re called to do likewise when we face the world with love for all and peace in our hearts. We’re called to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ—who is the Lord of the Dance.
This Easter season until Pentecost, we are called to dance no matter what the weather brings. In April and May, our sermon series will reveal how the rhythms of worship and bold leaps of faith can demonstrate joy for all the world to see, even in times of difficulty. Will you dare to step out with us…in faith?
Let us know your first steps as things reopen. The form below goes to our church office email and will help us lift up stories of hope to the congregation. Examples are: “I ended isolation by visiting my grandkids,” “I’ve been worried about my future but recently toured a college,” or “I hope to worship in church with my friends again.”
