Sunday, December 3
We start our Advent worship series called Names for the Messiah. Then, immediately after our service, it’s the Galilee Holiday Bazaar. You’ll find crafts and good cheer aplenty in and around our gym.
It’s the first Sunday of the month, so join us for Communion. John Wesley believed the Lord’s Supper to be “the grand channel whereby the grace of his Spirit was conveyed to the souls of all the children of God” (Sermon 26: “Upon Our Lord’s Sermon on the Mount VI”, §III.11). This is one of the reasons he received the sacrament at least weekly most of his life.
In the evening, there will be a Sunday Night Youth Group and the Galilee Book Club will meet, as well.
Sunday, December 10
On this Sunday, we are inviting those who want to formally join Galilee to do so. Email the office if you’d like to explore this idea, because it’s a great way to get more involved in the Christian life.
It’s also Crazy Christmas Sweater Sunday! We’re going to have fun by wearing the loudest, most colorful, some would say ugliest, holiday sweaters we can find.
In the evening, teens are invited to Sunday Night Youth Group.
Sunday, December 17
Expect more music than usual at 10am worship: it’s the Choir Christmas Celebration!
Later, we’ve got a terrific holiday event for families and kids of all ages: our Night in Bethlehem marketplace will open at 4pm. Come experience what Jesus might have seen when He was with us on Earth. The event wraps up with our Children’s Christmas Pageant at 5pm in the sanctuary.
Sunday, December 24
Christmas Eve is on a Sunday this year, so we’ll have our normal 10am worship which will be our final Advent service.
Then we have two Christmas worship services in the evening. It will be Candlelight Communion at both 5pm and 7pm. We want you to come and bring friends and family. Christmas worship is always a wonderful experience.
We hope to see you EVERY Sunday in December.
