Be a part of the Galilee Book Club, a group of Christians reading books. We’ve welcomed several new members recently, and you should join, too! The only requirement is that you love reading.

We choose one title a month and meet on the fourth Sunday @ 5:00 for open discussion.

Contact Chris Smith for information or to join.

Our meetings are in person at Galilee.

Upcoming Reads

Summer Selection

Cloud Cuckoo Land

by Anthony Doerr. Selected by Susie Newman.

We slow down in summer and take time to do our beach/pool reading. Galilee Book Club’s next meeting is on Aug 28, when we will return to the work of author Anthony Doerr. We first read his highly literary novel, “All the Light We Cannot See.” Now we’ll read “Cloud Cuckoo Land.” Expectations are high!

Our discussion of “Cloud Cuckoo Land” happens at Galilee on Sunday, Aug 28 @ 5:00 pm.

Email Chris Smith for details.

September 2022

Mexican Gothic

by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. Selected by Stephanie Ruiz.

Our September book is called “Mexican Gothic.”  We love overwrought Victorian classics like “Jane Eyre” with their air of mystery and veiled secrets. Here’s a tale that takes place south of the border with the same vibe. NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • “It’s Lovecraft meets the Brontës in Latin America, and after a slow-burn start Mexican Gothic gets seriously weird.”—The Guardian

Our discussion of “Mexican Gothic” happens at Galilee on Sunday, September 25 @ 5:00 pm.
