  • September 24 –  Sunday Night Youth Group
  • October 1 – Sunday Night Youth Group

VA YOUTH UNITE – Sunday, October 15 – 5:00 – 7:30pm – Arcola UMC

Galilee is partnering with Arcola UMC to “amp up the joy” with an event event full of music, fellowship and food for youth groups from our  entire UMC VA Conference. Bands include Arcola’s own Joy Collective Praise Band and Richmond’s Victor Neal and the New Life Music.

An early bird event fee of $12 ($18 after October 1) includes dinner.

*Note that this event replaces our usual Sunday Night Youth Group for that week.

We’re planning a Trunk or Treat on Sunday, Oct 22 but we need to know we have enough decorated cars and other volunteer slots filled in order to proceed. Sign up now!

Decorate a car or help with the event Sunday, October 22 from 3:00 to 5:00pm in the Galilee parking lot (and gym in case of inclement weather).

Please sign up before October 1st. We cannot do Trunk of Treat without plenty of decorated cars and helpful goblins like you!  A sufficient number of volunteers must be in place in order to run the event.

Big Game Night

We welcomed 25 kids to Big Game Night on August 20. Who were we missing? YOU! Come join us at our next event.

A Summer of Service and Fun

Galilee SummerServe

Monday, July 10- Friday, July 14

Galilee SummerServe, designed for middle school students to share God’s love through volunteer service in the local community, was a total blast.

Students engaged in projects at Galilee and at off-site locations to work with community partners in making the world a better place in Jesus’s name. Read our report.

Youth Summer Venture 2023

Saturday, July 15 – Wednesday, July 19

Galilee has a heart for the food insecure! At Youth Summer Venture, we gleaned food at a farm and worked with a food agency to distribute the food

It wasn’t all work! We stayed in cabins at Occohannock on the Bay Camp & Retreat Center in the Eastern Shore and enjoyed the fun of summer camp. We had and amazing time by the beauty of the bay.
