VAUMC Fall Youth Retreat – November 6 – 8 – Registration is OPEN!
Hosted by the Rappahannock Retreat Center, this year’s theme is Called to Serve. We will worship together, laugh together, and explore what it means to serve. It’s not one-size fits all; there are five service tracks you can choose from, plus inspiring talks, time to yourself, and activities to share.
Thanks to generous contributions from the congregation, we are able to send students for $100 per person, plus $10 for the optional t-shirt (instead of the official $185-$195 cost).

Our students were involved in missions near and far this summer. The SummerServe middle school team participated in local service-oriented mission. The Summer Venture team traveled to Redwood UMC in Rocky Mount, VA to serve in the surrounding Franklin County/Roanoke Community.

Members of Galilee’s Youth Group spent the weekend of April 10 at Bethany Beach learning what it means to rest in Jesus. Through worship, small groups, and even a chilly ocean challenge, they stepped away from the noise of daily life.

Start each month with coffee, donuts, and a fresh take on Bible learning.
High school students are invited to join us on first Sundays at 9am for Bite-Size Bible Class: a thoughtful, seminar-style discussion of a short(ish) passage of scripture. There is no written lesson or lecture, just ordinary people talking about what they find in the Word.
