How do you explain don’t worry when they can see how worried you are?
I think of my Mom and Dad who sent us off to school with so many things they worried about but never showed. My Mom would have me call her at work everyday to tell her about my day. I never realized she was making sure I got home alright and was safe, and had locked the door.
For all my life she called me every single day, when my kids were little, when I traveled for work and stayed in hotels, when I drove home. There was never a time she didn’t check on me. I knew it was because she loved me so much. I didn’t know she was making sure I was ok. If your Mom is still here, call her. Make sure she’s ok.
Lord, please check on all the Moms and Dads and make sure we are all ok tonight. It’s a scary world.
