Two brand new pastors arrived at church on Monday to start our next season of ministry at Galilee. We think you’ll like them! Make sure to join us on Sunday, July 7 as Senior Pastor Mike Plasters and Associate Pastor Steven Carr lead their very first worship services at Galilee (10am) and the Chapel (11am).

Pastor Mike comes to us from St Matthews UMC in Annandale. Steven comes from further afield. Arkansas, as a matter of fact. They both bring a wealth of experience, character, and faith to Galilee and will be working as a team to serve our church on both campuses and in all our fields of mission. 

You’ll have a chance to see and hear Mike and Steven this Sunday. Next Sunday, July 14, we’ll have an extended fellowship time after worship when you can chat with one or both pastors. To help our new pastors learn names, we’d like to invite you to wear a name tag when you come to worship. We generated some name tags from a database we keep, but far from all our names are represented there. There will be a name tag station in the narthex in the coming weeks; please check it for your name tag or let us know that we need to print one for you or a friend (and we can hand write a temporary one). 

Come to Galilee this weekend and meet our new pastors. Worship with us as we slow down and listen for the Word of God in our lives, telling us what else may be new and transformative.
