Mobile Hope is launching Operation: Feed the Furloughed. It’s a community effort to provide meals, groceries, and essentials to federal workers and contractors impacted by the government shutdown. We are responding to the many phone calls we’ve received from individuals and families asking for help, and your support ensures we can meet that need with compassion and dignity. When those who serve our nation face hardship, our community steps forward. Together, we can make sure that every public servant knows they’re seen, valued, and supported. Many of these workers are the same people who process our benefits, secure our data, and protect our country—yet today, they’re worried about feeding their families. With your help, we can change that. Drive-Thru Food Distribution We will host a drive-thru food distribution for furloughed federal workers every Monday and Friday until further notice starting November 3, 2pm at 302 Parker Court, SE, Leesburg. No pre-registration is required—simply come as you are. The drive-thru format ensures privacy and confidentiality for all participants, allowing federal employees and contractors to receive groceries and essentials safely and discreetly.
