Greetings everyone. I am writing to let you know that our Associate Pastor Geitra Mickelson, who has served Galilee for six years, will be moving forward in her ministry to serve as the Associate Pastor at Centreville UMC. This move will allow Pastor Geitra to develop her pastoral experience in a different setting amongst a new congregation.

Geitra interviewed with Senior Pastor Jason Duley and our Associate Pastor (at the time) Matt Sergent in August 2016 to become a Ministry Intern at the Chapel at Loudoun Woods. After a successful start at the Chapel, she felt led to become a part-time local pastor serving the whole of Galilee in 2018. 

Pastor Geitra will preach her final sermon in our sanctuary on Sunday, July 17 and will begin her new appointment on August 1. Please join us in wishing her well, sending her forth in Christian love. A celebration of gratitude for Geitra’s ministry and  a farewell reception will be held on Sunday, July 17 at 10:10am at Galilee.
