Galilee youth enjoy having fun with youth night games and fellowship, but they’re also a serious group. They are very much exploring the complicated questions of our faith.

We are fortunate to have a pastor who is willing to explore those questions with them. On November 19,  Sunday Night Youth Group welcomed Pastor Jason to join what has become our annual *Stump the Pastor* night. 

Our youth were prepared and asked questions like:

• Who is the Devil? Does God love or hate Satan?
• Why do some people feel hostility toward Jews? Including some Christians?
• Can evolution and Genesis both be true?
• Is abortion a sin?
• Are you afraid to die? 

As you can see, these were not softball questions! Our Youth Center is a safe space for our students to ask about difficult subjects. Often, the adults are stumped—sometimes even the pastor—and that’s OK. It is a safe space for the adults, too! Being real with our students is important.

So did they stump the pastor? Sadly, no. But you have to understand that this was an open book test. Pastor Jason was free to consult the Bible, which (we have been reliably informed) he even has on his phone.
