Vacation Bible School

Seekers in Sneakers VBS

This summer’s VBS is called Seekers in Sneakers: Discover Jesus! The fun VBS challenges children to dig into the Bible to find the way to Jesus. The journey of discovery has many twists and turns. Children will learn to ask questions, work with others, shine their light in the world, follow Jesus’ example of serving others, and trust Jesus when things go wrong.

Through worship and drama, sports and active games, art and science explorations, and service, children are invited to follow the example and teachings of Jesus in every place and every part of life.

Galilee SummerServe

Be a SRVant

At Galilee SummerServe, middle school students share God’s love through volunteer service in the community.

Each day of SummerServe 2024 combines devotion time with hands on action to make a difference in our neighborhoods. Students will engage in projects at Galilee and the off-site locations of community partners.

  • July 8-12 with varying start times
  • 9am Mon, Thurs, Fri; 8:30am Tues; 8am Weds
  • Each day’s activities end at noon
  • Cost: $70 per student
  • Open to rising 6th to rising 8th graders

Summer Venture

We’re Going to Richmond!

During Youth Summer Venture we will:

  • Explore Richmond’s complicated past and current dynamics
  • Tues, July 16-Sat, July 20
  • Assist Shalom Farms in their mission to grow and distribute fresh food
  • Support Belmont Community Resource Services in their work to clothe and feed the community
  • Challenge our own ideas about what social justice means
  • Explore new surroundings, witness for our faith, and have fun!
  • We’ll wrap up the trip with a day at Kings Dominion!
