Galilee is kicking off our new worship time on September 11. It’s 10am!

Our goal is to offer the best Sunday morning experience for all people, which we think we happens when we have more people in the sanctuary. It’s our hope that moving from 9 o’clock to 10 o’clock helps. 

In previous years, we conducted two well-attended worship services: one at 9 and one at 11. Obviously, Covid disrupted that and as we reintroduced in-person worship last year, we chose to do only 9 o’clock so that we could concentrate on making the richest worship experience possible for the people then attending in person. 

Ministry Council chose to make a new shift now in order to grow our attendance with the ultimate aim of bringing back a second service—but we have a way to go before that happens. Hopefully a thriving 10am service is the next step in that direction.

Galilee put out a survey about this shift to gauge congregant opinion and the response was overwelmingly (about 85%) positive. That is gratifying to Ministry Council and your church leadership. Our hope is that our sanctuary will be more full and that we have a positive and joyful worship experience for all involved.
