On Friday, September 8 members of the Chapel with other Lansdowne Woods folk visited friends at the Meadow Glenn Assisted Living facility. We chatted with residents and staff and did a sing along of popular patriotic songs. A good time was had by all.
The summer has been hot, so the Chapel hosted an Ice Cream Social and Sing-Along on Saturday, Aug 26. It was a nice opportunity to get Lansdowne Woods residents (and not necessarily Chapel members) together for fellowship and good cheer. About a hundred people participated and we are pleased to say there was enough ice cream for everyone.

The Chapel is served by Pastor Steve Hall and his wife Brenda. Steve has a background in law enforcement and technology sales. He studied ministry at Duke University and previously led Macedonia UMC in Louisa, VA.

The Chapel is a fully operating campus of Galilee UMC meeting the needs of the residents of Lansdowne Woods.
The Chapel’s mission is to build a community of deeply committed Christians. Through this gathering of Christians, relationships are enriched and lives are transformed. We believe that the path to creating and sustaining this community is living and growing through an intentional spiritual journey that strives to grow into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

This choir is a great way to participate at the Chapel! Join us – you are never too old! Remember: 20 percent of kids learn to sing or play music. 70 percent of adults wish they had.
