Confirmation is a ceremony that officially welcomes a person into the Church. Over the centuries, it has been a time in an adolescent Christian’s life when they are challenged to strengthen the roots of their faith and take ownership of their relationship with God. They do this by considering the faith critically and determining if they would like to reaffirm their baptismal covenant—making the choice of allegiance to Christ and His Church—with the result of continued growth toward Christian maturity.
For 2017, we will prepare youth (usually seventh graders, but open to all youth) for Confirmation beginning in the spring and will celebrate their commitment on June 4.
Confirmation classes will be on Sundays from 12:15-1:30 pm on April 2, 9, 23, 30 and May 7 and 21. Classes will be lead by our pastors.
Every confirmand should select a mature Christian they know to serve as a mentor.
